Trust-Based Philanthropy

Welcoming visitors to the Sunshine Preschool has always been a delightful experience, for the children, the staff and the trustees. So, it was this time too, when we had three special people – Julie Cox of the UK, Consultant on Early Childhood Development (ECD), Samantha Van Eyck, of the Jellybean Foundation, working with children with additional needs and Navin Perera, who wanted to see for himself, what he had heard of the Sunshine Preschool.

The two-day workshop with Julie and Samantha allowed us to experience directly the task process and witness the Sunshine Kids responses to early childhood education. In addition, the active participation of the staff, allowing them the experience of learning techniques to improve their engagement with the kids was equally important to observe.

Thank you, Julie and Sam, for sharing knowledge and volunteering your time whenever you visit Sri Lanka to support our work in improving the lives of vulnerable children.

Thank you, Navin, for your visit to come see for yourself, how The Sunshine Charity over twenty years have progressed and transformed the lives of vulnerable children though education.
